Finished my PhD Thesis!

A quick update

After starting (nearly) exactly three years ago, I've finally completed and submitted my PhD thesis! Here's a picture of the three copies I made for myself -- I actually only wanted to get two of them, but the copy shop made some mistake and printed an additional one XD.

With this thing of my table, I hope to be able to again spend some more time on this blog. I already have some things in the pipeline which I hope to write up in the very near future. This includes, among some other things, details about some experiments about optimising the performance of numerics-intensive Python code using various approaches including the use of the "numba" library, which yielded quite impressive results. Stay tuned!
